Why this works
The trick
Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook strip empty lines in posts to save vertical space. Dropping an invisible Unicode separator (U+2063) into each blank line makes the line non-empty, so the platform leaves it alone.
Where to use it
Instagram captions, LinkedIn long-form posts, Facebook page posts. X, Threads and Bluesky preserve line breaks natively, so you don't need this tool for those networks.
Preview before posting
Always preview before publishing. A few apps (older Instagram clients) still strip these characters. If a paragraph collapses, drop a single visible character (•, ✦) on the empty line instead.
